That's a fascinating article. Excellent commentary and dot connecting. Titus Andronicus is one of my favorite Shakespeare plays (though I think I'm in the minority on that).

Your portrayal of Alarbus’ death as a ritual sacrifice and a spark for Tamora’s vengeance is deeply impactful. The parallels drawn with The Wicker Man and Midsommar amplify the timelessness of this moral ambiguity. By unearthing the underrated power of Tamora’s speech, you give readers a fresh perspective on Shakespeare’s ‘goriest play.

Nice! Great combination of the three.

I remember the first time I saw The Wicker Man, I texted a friend of mine (who recommended it to me) in the middle of it. I said that it was one of the oddest movies I’ve ever seen. His one response was perfect: “Wait.”

We did an episode on The Wicker Man on Fifteen-Minute Film Fanatics if you’re interested.

Well, that was totally cool, thank you so much, Rebekah. 💕 I don’t mind the gore, and Julie Taylor’s “Titus “is one of my favourite movies, period. Such a cool article.
